Campaign: No to pesticides in ground water

There are projects we are especially proud to support. The campaign 'No for pesticides in the groundwater' is one of them.  Repack is sponsoring this important cause along with Postevand, Plant et træ and with the Danish popstar

Sure, it's a bit far from our main fight, single-use. Regardless, clean water is an essential part of life. Our everyday life is built around water. 80 percent of our bodies are made up of water, and two-thirds of the earth's surface is covered with water. We thought those were pretty good reasons to fight for it as well. 


Sensitive areas of groundwater may be at risk of contamination from pesticides. 
There's a way to protect these areas. I hope you're focused since it's a really high-tech device.. 
a bunch of trees. Yeah I know, mind-blowing!

 

Trees also have other positive effects, such as increased biodiversity, removal of CO2 from the atmosphere and they do look nice.

 

So what's the project?

 

Postevand consists of a small group of people wanting to protect our groundwater. Drinking water is not an inexhaustible resource, and it's not getting better with climate change.

 

That is why, in collaboration with MØ, they have developed a T-shirt and a patch with the message 'Nej til pesticider i grundvandet'- No for pesticides in the groundwater.

 

For every T-shirt or patch sold, we plant a tree in Denmark to protect the groundwater.

I have joined forces with @Postevand and If you get one of the shirts that I am wearing we will plant a tree for each item sold ? I appreciate any small gesture I see people making in their daily lives to contribute to a greener future. You see it a lot these days and it makes me so happy that so many people are trying their best to make a difference! We live in a time and in a climate where I think it's essential that we really think about the future and the consequences of our actions today. I know it?s easy to feel bombarded and overwhelmed or to feel like the changes needed are too big for one person to tackle, but I believe that it?s so important to keep talking about it together and to start where we are. That?s how we change the culture. There?s a lot to do, but I?m going to do my best to contribute to a greener world. Excited to be a part of this project ???

The collection is produced using materials so-called 'dead stocks', which is the term for textiles that have never been sold or used before being removed from sales, usually because they were overproduced or out of date. 

T-shirts are 60 percent polyester and 40 percent cotton and patches are 50 percent polyester and 50 percent cotton. The fabrics are certified Oeko-Tex standard 100. T-shirts and patches are screen-printed by hand in Denmark and only watercolor is used. Only the number of t-shirts and patches sold is produced.

And because the project is all about being trash-free, we decided to sponsor the project. 100% of shipments will be delivered in RePacks.
